Coaches at Healing Through Broken Strides

Woman feeding a horse in a fenced area.

I'm glad you're here.

From the depths of my heart, I've always felt a strong pull toward horses and helping people.
Horses have been a constant in my life. My rock, my solace, and a place where I've always felt a sense of freedom.
Growing up in a military family meant experiencing a lot of change. That experience stayed with me, and over time, I found myself drawn toward supporting veterans, service members, and the people who spend so much of their lives caring for others.

I just didn't know what that would look like yet.

While searching for a way to bring together my love of horses and my desire to help people, I discovered the Touched by a Horse certification program.

I had no idea at the time that finding that program would change the direction of my life.

Over two years, I learned alongside horses and began experiencing what it really meant to slow down and be present. I learned to pay attention to what was happening within me instead of always looking outside of myself for the answers.

And somewhere along the way, I discovered a strength in myself that I didn't know was there.

The timing wasn't accidental.

During that chapter of my life, my personal world felt like it was falling apart. The work I was doing with the horses gave me a place to slow down, look at what was actually happening, and begin finding my way forward.

It taught me something I still carry with me today:

Sometimes chaos isn't the end of something. Sometimes it's life rearranging itself.

That experience changed me.

And it shaped the kind of coach I wanted to become.

Why I Do This Work

I have a particular heart for the military community—active-duty service members, veterans, and military spouses.

I know that military life can ask a lot of people. Constant change. Transitions. Moving. Adapting. Supporting someone else's service. Sometimes putting pieces of yourself on the back burner.

But you don't have to be connected to the military to work with me.

I also work with women and men navigating life transitions—whether that's a major change, feeling stuck in old patterns, questioning what comes next, or simply realizing that the person you've been showing up as isn't quite the person you want to keep being.

Maybe you've spent years being what everyone else needed.

Maybe you've gotten really good at pushing things down and moving forward.

Maybe you're beginning to wonder what you actually want.

That's where this work can begin.

What It's Like to Work With Me

When you work with me, you don't have to show up with everything figured out.

You don't have to know exactly what you need to work on.

And you don't have to have the perfect words.

I'll meet you where you are and create space for us to slow down, get curious, and pay attention to what's happening for you in the moment.

Sometimes that means talking.

Sometimes it means noticing something happening in your body.

Sometimes we explore a pattern you've found yourself repeating.

Sometimes there's emotion.

Sometimes there's laughter.

Sometimes there's a realization you didn't expect.

I don't see my role as telling you what your answers should be.

I'm there to help you discover what is already there.

What I Believe

I believe personal growth isn't about becoming a completely different person.

It's about becoming more aware of yourself.

It's about recognizing the beliefs and patterns that may no longer serve you.

It's about learning to listen to yourself.

It's about making choices from a place of awareness rather than simply operating on autopilot.

And sometimes, it's about remembering that you were never actually lost.

You just got really good at putting yourself last.

Still Learning. Still Growing.

I'm not interested in pretending that personal growth means having everything figured out.

I'm still learning.

I'm still growing.

I'm still having moments where I have to stop, breathe, and ask myself what is really going on.

And honestly, I think that's part of what makes this work so human.

I'm not above the work. I'm in it too.

I believe in practicing what I ask of the people I coach: slowing down, becoming present, paying attention, taking responsibility for myself, and continuing to grow.

That's the kind of space I want to create for you.

A space where you don't have to perform.

A space where you don't have to have all the answers.

A space where you can simply show up as yourself.

My Training

I believe the work I do should be grounded in real training, continued learning, and a commitment to doing this work responsibly.

I completed a two-year certification program in Equine Gestalt Coaching through the Touched by a Horse program, where I studied the Gestalt method, coaching, somatic awareness, and the relationship between people and horses.

I'm also continuing my education through an additional two-year program with Melisa Pearce, the creator of the Touched by a Horse Equine Gestalt Coaching Method. This continued training allows me to deepen my understanding of the work and continue growing as a coach.

My training is trauma-informed, and I continue to pursue education and professional development as I grow in this work.

I am a coach, not a therapist. Coaching and therapy serve different purposes, and I believe knowing the difference matters. My role is to support you in developing greater self-awareness, exploring patterns and beliefs, and discovering what feels authentic and meaningful to you.

I also believe that being a good coach means knowing my scope. If something falls outside of what coaching is designed to address, I will be honest about that and encourage you to seek the appropriate professional support.
